Do You Know ………
How To Check How Many Test Licences You Have Left? |
|
When you first purchased your ActivTest system, our support staff will have added the appropriate number of test licences (in the case of ECDL) or candidate registrations (in the case of e-Citizen and e-type), depending on the size of your order. ActivTest then automatically tracks how many test licences or candidate registrations you have left in your system as you go along.
There is a simple way to check how many licences or registrations you have remaining, but because it is not something you do that often, we thought it would be useful to let you have step-by-step instructions. And if, once you have followed these instructions, you find that you are low in licences or registrations, then we have also included ordering instructions for you – see below!
How to check how many test licences or candidate registrations you have remaining.
The procedure is different depending on whether you are using ActivTest Version 4, or the latest Version 6. If you are an e-Citizen and/or an e-type customer, then you will be using Version 6. However, if you are only an ECDL customer, then you may be using Version 6 or you may still be using Version 4 (see the other article entitled ‘Product Update’ in this edition of Activ News which reports on the plans to upgrade all our customers to Version 6).
Please click here to view a PDF document, which describes, using screen-grabs from the ActivTest administration system, the precise procedure. It is really easy to follow and consists of just a few steps. Once you have seen how many licences or registrations you have left, you need to consider whether you need to place an order, taking into account the rate at which you are testing or registering new candidates.
By the way, when you ‘queue’ a candidate for a test, the remaining licence figure will not reduce until the candidate has actually taken the test. So you could have a situation where the number of queued tests exceeds the number of licences you have remaining. A warning message will appear whilst you are queuing a test for a candidate if that is the case.
How to place an order for more tests or registrations:
If you need more ECDL tests then email or call your Activ Account Manager or simply send an official Purchase Order to Activ via post, fax or e-mail attachment (details below). If you have any difficulties please call us at Activ HQ on 01234 340880.
The minimum order quantity for ECDL tests is 50. You will also be provided with the same number of diagnostic assessment test licences, to match the quantity of tests that you order, at no extra cost. Your Account Manager will confirm the price for you.
If you need to order more e-Citizen candidate registrations, then again, please contact your Activ Account Manager or send a purchase order (details below). Each registration provides three test attempts and one diagnostic assessment test. The minimum order for e-Citizen registrations is 10 at a fee of £25 per registration.
You must place your order for more additional e-type registrations through the Approved Test Centre Forum, accessed via the BCS web-site, as you did for your first order. You will need a user name to log into the Forum and if you don’t have one, someone in your organisation will. Once there, you will find an online order form within the e-type web pages and you should complete it and submit it. The price per candidate is currently £35 and this includes the e-type courseware and three test attempts. The minimum order is for 10 candidates.
