From the 1st September, the BCS will launch the new additional Word Processing Unit at Level 1. This gives candidates a basic introduction to Word Processing, which is something that has been requested by many people for quite some time.
Candidates who register for ECDL between 1st September 2007 and 31st August 2008 will not be charged any additional registration fee if they want to take this Unit.
We are currently developing an automated test suite and an assessment test for this new Unit and these will be available by 1st September. Therefore, from that date, all existing ActivTest customers can have the Word Processing Unit Level 1 added to the range of tests they have at their disposal in their ActivTest account. If you want it added, please contact us (see below).
For a period of time Activ will be providing Word Processing Level 1 tests and assessments free of charge.
